🌑 Ps3 Stuck In Safe Mode

I don't know if it's better to wait at this point. I haven't had a message saying that there is corrupted files on my ps3, but it freezes a lot when I play on games. So I put in safe mode and tried to restore the file system. A few years ago my console was factory reset when I played on it during a thunderstorm. Is it trying to find that data I would first try to backup your data connecting your PS3 HDD to a PC (I haven't done this, but probably there are tutorials online if you need one). Then, with the HDD put back on the console, I would try to enter safe mode on your PS3 and try to update from there. As far as I know, you can update via recovery mode using your USB so you bypass If you succeeded in activating Safe Mode, you will see a message on the screen saying, "Connect the controller using a USB cable and then press the PS button." Connect a USB cable to the controller and the PlayStation 3 and press the PS button to enter Safe Mode. You will now see the Safe Mode menu. Mar 31, 2015. #1. Black screen and can't enter safe mode. I have connected another ssd to install the update there, but it tells me to press start+select to search for flash drives, and the flash drives don't get recognised by the ps3. I have also tried booting to safe mode, but it didn't work. Tldr; My ps3 got stuck in an update loop and I want to find a way to fix it other than formatting my hdd. The disc usually gets stuck when the console is horizontally resting. Placing it vertically may help dislodge it. Wait about 30 minutes. Reconnect all of the cords. Boot into safe mode by holding the power button for 7 to 8 seconds. Cross your fingers. That's really it. The disc should hopefully eject now. I think you should see what's going on the drive socket in the motherboard. Take a brush teeth and a little bit of alcohol and clean it good. Then use a hairdryer for a seconds to dry the liquid. If that doesn't work, maybe you have a hardware problem on the PS3. 14 votes, 14 comments. 187K subscribers in the PS3 community. The PlayStation 3 Subreddit (PS3, PlayStation3, Sony PlayStation 3).
